Method
Preheat the oven to 180C fan and line two baking trays with parchment paper.
Use a blender to whizz the oats and sunflower seeds together to a fine consistency.
Tip the mixture into a bowl and stir in the cacao powder and sugar, followed by the maple syrup, melted coconut oil and choc chips. Try to find gluten and dairy free choc chips if you can!
Combine the ingredients with your hands and make into balls, spacing them apart on the baking tray. Use a fork to flatten them into biscuit shapes.
Bake in the oven for 20 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cook.
The Good Stuff:
Oats are one of the best-known galactogogues – foods which help increase milk production.
So these oaty biscuits are your best friend when you’re nursing. With collagen and pumpkin seeds for protein and zinc, plus healthy fats from the coconut oil, your boobs will be full of nourishing goodness for bub and you’ll have a tasty (much-needed) pick-me up.
